About Me

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Akron, Ohio, and I specialize in helping people heal from trauma. My approach is down-to-earth, compassionate, and tailored to what you need.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, compassionate space to help you explore, heal, and create positive change. I take a holistic approach to therapy, blending different therapeutic techniques to meet your individual needs and goals.

My work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep belief in the potential for growth and transformation. Whether you're struggling with trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I am here to help you navigate life's complexities with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.

I specialize in trauma recovery and draw from evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, EFT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), IFS, polyvagal therapy and person-centered therapy. I am passionate about helping clients break free from unhelpful, often unconscious, patterns and discover a deeper sense of self.

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I am here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can work toward creating meaningful change, fostering healing, and building the tools you need to live a more fulfilling and authentic life.

If you’re ready to take the next step or have any questions, feel free to reach out. I’d be honored to be a part of your journey.

A Focus on Developmental Trauma

Many of the challenges we face in adulthood; chronic anxiety, relationship struggles, people-pleasing, shame, or feeling “stuck”, often trace back to unmet needs and protective patterns formed in childhood. I specialize in helping clients identify and heal the lasting impact of developmental trauma or adverse childhood experiences. Using evidence-based approaches like EMDR, we work to gently process unresolved experiences, shift old survival strategies, and build internal safety, so you can begin to respond to life rather than react from the past.

Why I Do This Work

I got into trauma therapy after experiencing my own EMDR therapy and because I truly believe in the power of healing. I believe in the incredible resilience of the human spirit and the profound capacity for growth, even after the most difficult experiences. I’m here to walk alongside you through that process—at your pace, on your terms.
